They were discussing the North American Indian in a school, when the teacher asked if anyone could tell what the leaders of the tribes were called. “Chiefs,” answered one little girl. “Correct. Now, can any of you tell me what the women were called?” There was silence for some time; then a small boy waved his hand. “Well, / Freddie?” said the teacher. “Mischiefs,” he announced, proudly.
