RESEARCH WORK INTENSIFIED. I Those who want to know the answer to even the most abstruse queries about rubber can rest assured of quick service as a result of a complete revision of the British system of classification of rubber information, experts declare. Rubber research has intensified throughout the world, and revision of the information system of. the Research Association of British Rubber Manufacturers had become essential. Revision involved a 12 months’ detailed analysis of 250,000 abstracts. A digest of British Rubber Patents is being formulated as a result. This is to make easily accessible everything about rubber found during the examination of 1.000,000 British patents extending over 150 years. The new British classification system has also been adopted by the United States Bureau of Standards and the Institut Francais du Caoutchouc.
