RIFLE SHOOTING

KAIPARORO CLUB’S COMPETITION The Kaiparoro Rifle Club fired the final competition over the 300, 500 and 600 yards ranges, a seven shot match. A trophy donated by Mr F. Schormanh for best score off rifle was won by Rifleman J. Torrey with a score of 97. Messrs G. H. Perry and Co.’s trophy for the best score on the 300 and 500 yards ranges was won by C. Welch, with 67. Mr R. J. King’s trophy, for the best score on the 500 and 600 yards ranges, was won by J. Torrey with 66. The scores were as follow: —J. Torrey 98, C. Welch 97, W. Braddick 97, F. Schormann 97, A. Hansen 97, L. Welch 97, G. Dick 95, D. J. Dick 95, K. Henson 94, P. Henson 92, R. Henson 91, O. Walton 91, K. McLachlan 87.
