ANNOUNCEMENT OF CAST. (PRODUCTION BY MASTERTON AMATEURS. For the production by the Masterton Amateur Theatrical Society of “The Cingalee” the following cast is announced: —Hon Harry Vereker (an Englishman who has settled in Ceylon as a tea-planter), Mr John Warham; Bobbie Warren (overseer on the plantation), Mr J. Claridge; four pupils of Vereker on the plantation, Messrs W. McMichael, R. Shaw, G. Donald and Marshall; Boobhamba (an ~ Indian noble), Mr C. E. Rogers; Sir Peter Loftus (High Commissioner and Judge, Ceylon), Mr McFarlane; Myamgah (native servant to Sir Peter), Mr McWhinnie; Chambuddy Ram (a Baboo lawyer). Mr Ray Foster; Nanoya (a Cingalese girl) Miss Bebe Francis; Peggy Sabine (London girl), Mrs Dingle; Naitooma (chief tea girl), Miss Y. Ruby; Sattambi, Mychellah, Soome, tea girls. Misses N. ■The Cingalee" is a musical comedy in two acts. The first scene is laid in Vereker's tea plantation, and the second in Boobhamba's Palace by the Lake of Kandy.
