Gloucester, first innings, 5 for 324, declared (Allen 50, Barnett 57, Hammond 57, Crapp not out 116); Warwick, first innings 1 for 148 (Santail 75). The match was abandoned. Lancashire, first innings 5 for 175 (Oldfield 74) v Leicester. The match was abandoned. Notts, first innings 4 for 290 (Harris 81) v Hampshire. The match was abandoned. Northants, first innings 166 (Nelson 76, Wellard 5 for 52, Buse 5 for 56); second innings 165 (Wellard 7 for 76). Somerset, first innings, 271 (Lyon not out 122); second innings, 7 for 65 (Buswell 5 for 32). Somerset won by three wickets. Surrey, first innings 192 (Jackson 4 for 39, Perks 4 for 47); second innings, 101 (Perks 6 for 38). Worcester, first innings 132 (Gover 7 for 50); second innings 7 for 63 (Gover 7 for 35). Surrey won on the first innings. Kent, first innings, 1 for 78 v Yorkshire. The match was abandoned. Cambridge, first innings 169 (Stephenson 5 for 56); second innings 1 for 79. Army, first innings 8 for 387 declared (Grove 106, Packe 176). The match was drawn.
