BIDEFORD CLUB. CAPTAIN’S TROPHY COMPETITION. On Sunday last a good day’s golf was spent by many members of the Bideford Golf Club when the Captain’s trophy competition was commenced. The links were in excellent order and some good scores were recorded. D. Falloon won a Stableford competition in the morning with a score of 42, doing a 72 off the stick. C. Percy won the afternoon Bogey with 2 up, scoring 75. The following will now play off in the third round: —C. Percy, H. Bell, R. McKenzie, D. Falloon and F. Candy. The following are in the fourth round: —W Batty, E. Wrigley, G. Falloon, W. Percy and T. Falloon. The match between the captain’s 1 and president’s teams will be played on June 12.
