WAIRARAPA v HAWKE'S BAY. LOCAL TEAM SELECTED. The following Wairarapa team has been chosen by the sole selector (Mr E. McKenzie) to play Hawke’s Bay at Napier on Monday next: — Full back: R. O’Callaghan (Old Boys). Three-quarters: R. Johnson (Red Star), J. Henson (Gladstone), W. Petterson (Red Star). ' Five-eighths: O. Hatton (Old Boys), F. Henson (Red Star). Half: L. Reiri (Masterton). Forwards, front row: I. Nicol, (Mastinborough), T. Hood (Greytown), C. Rosyth (Carterton); middle row: I. Percy (Masterton), C. Welch (Masterton), A. Crookenden (Masterton), A. Mathieson (Carterton); back row: R. Howard (Red Star). Reserves: Backs, V. Gray (Masterton), E. Denbee (Old Boys); forwards, D. O’Connor (Red Star), M. Mathieson (Carterton). The players are to provide their own black shorts. Any player unable to travel must notify the selector at once. The team is to depart from Masterton at 9.30 a.m. on Sunday in charge of Mr N. G. Rayner. JUNIOR SEVEN-A-SIDE TOURNAMENT. The Wairarapa Rugby Union has been unable to arrange a junior representative match for June 6 and will play the annual Junior 7-a-side tournament on Monday, at Memorial Park. Masterton. Nominations will be received on the ground.
