AUCKLAND RACES
JERVOIS HANDICAP INCREASED. 4 (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. Owing to the large number of acceptors for the Jervois Handicap on the first day of the A.R.C. winter meeting, the event has been divided. As this makes eight races, the division will be treated as separate events, the totalisator being open for each. The stakes have been increased and £275 allotted to each division. The first division is as follows: — Melvanui, Barrister, Dragon Moth, General Ruse, Young Paddon, Alyth, Disturbed, El Meynell. Bronze Wing. Salesman, Aymon. Master Appellant, Rajana, Love Parade. Topeotu, Huntsman’s Chorus. The remainder are in the second division.
