WRESTLING

BOUT STOPPED (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, May 29. Although the professional wrestling bout held on Saturday night between Blomfield and Moen, both 16.8 was fast and interesting, it came to a somewhat unsatisfactory ending. Moen took a fall with a headlock in the fifth round, Blomfield equalising in the seventh with a clamp. Moen was still feeling the effects when he came out for the eighth round and, sparring for a time, used the ropes whenever possible. At this stage the referee, Mr Frank Anderson, stopped the bout and gave the decision to Blomfield, though Moen insisted that he was able and willing to continue. WIN FOR KENNEDY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, May 29. After a lively encounter Jack Kennedy defeated Leo Jensen by two falls to one in a wrestling contest on Saturday night, the bout ending in the sixth round.
