♦ WAIRARAPA MATCHES. SATURDAY’S RESULTS. The following are the results of Wairarapa hockey matches on Saturday:— MEN. Senior: Kiwi 1, Carterton 1; Wesley 4, Grey town 1; Dalefield, a bye. Junior: College A 8, Dalefield 2; Grey town 3, College B 1; Wesley A 6, Wesley B 2. WOMEN. Senior: Grey town 4, Kia Ora 1; Excelsior 8, Te Ore Ore 1; Kiwi 2, Hinemoa 0; College, a bye. Junior: Kia Ora 3, College C 0; Excelsior 5, College B 2; College A, a bye. Games played during the week resulted: College A 6, College C 0; College B 0, College C 0. WAIRARAPA v. BUSH. LOCAL TEAM SELECTED. In view of the game with the Indian team the Wairarapa representatives will meet Bush next Saturday at Carterton. The sole selector (Mr J. Fisher) has announced that the following players will represent Wairarapa:— Goal: G. Tildesley (Dalefield). Full-backs: R. Byers (Carterton), B. H. Massey (Kiwi). Halves: A. Stubbings .(Kiwi), M. Worsfold (Carterton), R. Crawley (Carterton). Forwards: D. Jackson (Carterton), T. Hooper (Dalefield), A. Fisher (Carterton), M. Knutson (Dalefield). Reserves: ■ — Forward, O’Connor (Kiwi); back, C. Knutson (Dalefield). NOMINATIONS FOR NEW ZEALAND TEAM. The selector has also nominated the following players for the New Zealand team to play India in the tests: —M. Knutson (Dalefield), left half; A. Fisher (Carterton), bully; S. Fisher (Carterton), inside left.
