CHANGE OF POLICY

POWER BOARD FINANCE COMMITTEE.

WAIRARAPA DECISION.

(“Times-Age” Special.)

By six votes to three, the Wairarapa Electric Power Board decided at its meeting yesterday that in future the Finance Committee shall consist of all the board members and that the meetings of the committee shall be held on the morning of the ordinary monthly meeting day. In the past, the Finance Committee consisted of three members and the chairman, Mr A. C. Pearce.

Opinions were divided on the proposal, which was the result of a notice of motion tabled by Mr S. Dalgleish. Messrs Pearce, H. P. Hugo and W. H. Booth were appointed as an executive committee to act in time of emergency.
