SUDDEN DEATH

NEW SOUTH WALES CABINET MINISTER. GREAT SHOCK TO COLLEAGUES. SYDNEY, May 26. Mr J. M. Dunningham, Minister of Labour and Industries*in the New South Wales Government, collapsed in his office today and died within an hour from a heart attack. He was aged 54. The Premier and his Ministerial colleagues received a great shock as\ Mr Dunningham was a most popular member of the Cabinet. He had Ministerial charge of the recent anniversary celebrations, resulting in overwork and minor heart seizures. He was warnetd by doctors to take a rest, but Mr Dunningham always replied, “I must see it through.” The Government offices were closed this afternoon. A State funeral has been ordered. Mr Dunningham had been a member of the Legislative Assembly for Randwick since 1928, and Minister of Labour and Industry since 1932.
