PRIMARY EDUCATION
WEST SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEETING. APPOINTMENT OF ACTING HEADMASTER. The chairman. Mr F. Shearer, presided over a full attendance of members at a meeting of the Masterton West School Committee held last night. The Wellington Education Board advised that Mr V. Welch had been appointed acting-headmaster and that Miss Brockett and Mr McCann, 8.A.. had also been appointed temporarily to the staff. It was reported that repairs to the asphalt area at the side school and to the main building at West School had been carried out during the holidays. A committee was set up to deal with the question of the school library. Mr W. A. Clarke was appointed to represent the committee on the Dental Clinic Committee.
