The Board of Trade announces that an inquiry will be held into the disappearance of the Anglo-Australian. SEARCH IMPOSSIBLE. OWING TO THE VAST AREA IN QUESTION. LONDON, May 26. Despite the appeals of the South Shields municipality, the Admiralty and the Air Ministry’ announced that a search for the crew of the missing steamer Anglo-Australian is impossible owing to the vast area to be searched and the limited range of aircraft.

The Anglo-Australian has been missing since she was reported to have passed the Azores on March 14. She was bound from Cardiff to Vancouver.
