President Cardenas sent out troops fanwise from San Luis Potosi in an effort to stamp out the revolt. He took preliminary steps to call a meeting of the Senate in order to elect a provisional Governor of San Luis Potosi. President Cardenas also called on the governors and legislatures of all the States to declare loyalty to him. He ordered the arrest of' Senor Trinidad Alamillo, Secretary-General 'iff San Luis Potosi.
