Miss L. Dick, of Pahiatua, -is on a visit to the Waikato. Miss L. lorns, Colombo Road, left last week on a visit to England.

Mesdames D’Ath and Phillips, of PahaLitanui, are visiting their brother, Mr Nordell, of Atea. Mr and Mrs F. Aplin, Manakau, are staying with Mr and Mrs T. Caverhill, Worksop Road, Masterton.

Mr and Mrs Ashworth, Castlepoint, have returned from a short visit to Palmerston North.

Mrs C. Hudson, “Glendoon,” Longbush, left last week on a visit to England.

Miss Molly Bassett, who is on the staff of the Karitane Hospital, is visiting Masterton.

Miss M. Stone, of Masterton, has been on a visit to her parents, Mr and Mrs T. Stone, Pahiatua. Misses M. Nelson and G. Johnston, of Pahiatua, have returned after a holiday spent in the South Island. Miss Margaret Mules, formerly of Masterton, has returned to Waitara after a holiday spent at Woodville. Mrs R. Hogg, who has been staying with Mrs G. W. Sellar, Colombo Road, Masterton, returned to Wellington today.

Mrs H. Caselberg, Wellington, has been spending the weekend with Mrs A. Caselberg, Sussex Street, Masterton.

Miss Mavis Taylor, of the Karitane Hospital start, Wellington, is visiting her parents, Mr and Mrs S. E. Taylor, Essex Street, Masterton.

Miss E. Ashby, of Palmerston North, has been appointed sole teacher at the Ruawhata school in succession of Mrs McQuilkin, who has been transferred to the Pahiatua school as infant mistress.

Mrs W. T. Brunton, Dreyer’s Rock, was hostess recently at a gift tea for Miss Jean Bennett, whose marriage will take place shortly. The afternoon was spent in games and competitions, and after tea the bride-elect opened the many gift parcels.
