LUCKY ESCAPE
MOTOR CAR RUNS INTO BRIDGE. RAIL PASSES BETWEEN ' TWO MEN. OTAKI. May 23. Two men, named McGee and Toohill, of Wellington, driving north last night, caollided with the Waitohu Bridge, shattering a rail, which pierced the bonnet and passed between the two men to the back seat, luckily missing them. It was raining at the time of the accident and the visibility was bad.
