MOTOR CYCLE TRIALS
CONTESTS AT TE WHITI. MASTERTON CLUB EVENTS. Half a mile of metal road and the same distance of “rough" comprised the course for the annual miniature T.T. race of the Masterton Motor Cycle Sports Club, held at Te Whiti yesterday. The riders thrilled a large crowd with their daring as they roared through swamp and mud on their bucking machines. Despite the hard going, however, P. Hall, of Wellington, who hit a wire fence and received minox- leg injuries, was the only rider to be hurt. The final race, which was ridden over five laps, was won by M. Proctor, of Wellington, who wins the T.T; Cup (open). E. Renner, of the Masterton Club, was second, and takes the Club cup.
Following are the detailed results: — M. Proctor, Wellington (Velocette), 1; E. Renner, Masterton (Norton), 2; W. Watson, Masterton (8.5. A. 3; C. Smith, Wellington (A.J.S.), 4; H. Tolley, Wellington (Royal Enfield), 5.
