MOTOR CAR CAPSIZES

DRIVER DIES FROM INJURIES (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, May 22. When proceeding along Bushey Road this moriiing about a mile and a half north of Palmerston, a car driven by Frank Leslie Fox. second-hand dealer in King Street, Dunedin, skidded in some loose gravel and turned over three or foui’ times, the driver receiving severe head injuries from which he died in Dunedin Hospital at about 7 o'clock tonight. Three other people in the car when the accident occurred were Mrs Fox who was seated in front with her husband, Mr Arthur Fox, brother of the driver, and his wife,’ who were sitting at the rear. Mr Frank Fox was. preparing to pass another car travelling in the same direction, but apparently turned the steering wheel too hard, with the result that the car shot across the road, one wheel being caught in the water-table and the other in some loose gravel The car moved along about 50 yards, skidded in some loose gravel, and turned over three or four times before coming to rest at the side of the road. The driver was picked up some 12 feet from the car in the middle of the road. The other passengers escaped with minor cuts and abrasions.

The car was badly wrecked, one of the doors being picked up 26 feet from the scene of the accident.
