The Misses Collier, Greytown, have returned from a visit to Paraparaumu Beach.
Miss Macintosh, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs Carey, Second Street, Lansdowne.
Miss Mahood, Martinborough, has been staying at Paraparaumu for the term holidays.
Mrs A. C. Major, Upper Plain, is visiting her daughter, Mrs A. Rutherford, Invercargill.
Miss Cecelia Drummond, who has been on a short visit to Masterton, has returned to Dunedin.
Mrs R. Pullinger, of Hunterville, is on a visit to Greytown and is staying with her mother, Mrs. Linton. Mrs J. A. Smith, Palmerston North, is spending the weekend with Miss Daniell, Albert Street, Masterton.
Mrs R. Hardy, Feilding, is staying with her mother, Mrs C. T. R. Richardson, The Terrace, Lansdowne.
Mrs J. Lawson,' Pownall Street, Masterton, and family are staying with Mrs E. M. Hodder at Paraparaumu Beach.
Miss Barbara Berney, who has been staying with her mother, Mrs Berney, Pownall Street, Masterton, will return to Wellington today. Miss H. G. Every, daughter of Mr and Mrs R. H. Every, of Carterton, has been appointed relieving teacher at the Tokaanui Maori school, and left yesterday to take up her duties.
Mr and Mrs F. L. Price, Masterton, with their son Hugh,, are the guests of Mr and Mrs C. E. Collins, Lower Hutt. Mrs Price and her son will sail by the Arawa for an extended trip to England and the Continent. Mrs M. H. Oram, Mrs B. J. Jacobs and Mrs L. Martyn Abraham, Palmerston North, were hostesses at a large dance given by them in Wellington last night in honour of the “coming out” of their respective daughters, Miss Valerie Oram, Miss Joan Jacobs and Miss Diana Abraham. Among those present were Mr and Mrs F. Ashworth (Castlepoint), and Mr and Mrs D. C. Collins (Featherston).-
Mrs V. E. Donald, Lansdowne, Masterton, was “at home” to a few of her friends on Thursday afternoon to introduce her small-' grandsons, Brandon, Warren and Garry John, who, with their mothers, are at present staying with her. Brandon and Warren are the small sons of Mrs A. E. Preston, Wellington, and Mrs A. G. Mitchell is the mother of Garry. Mrs Ray Hansard, another daughter who lives at Lyall Bay, was also present. Others present were Mrs D. M. Graham, Mrs H. Bakie, Mrs N. Lamont, Misses C. and K. Morrison, Miss Payton and Miss Ray Harrison.
