MOTOR LICENSES
F’OST OFFICE ADVICE
With the aid of the newspapers the Post Office this year has specially stressed the importance of early relicensing of motor-vehicles. The numbers involved are so large that even with the extended facilities for relicensing serious delays are likely to occur if the majority of motorists fail to give attention to the matter until the last few days of the month. The good response of motor-vehicle owners early in May prompted the Post Office to ascertain from a number of centres the actual improvement in the way of early re-licensing compared with last year. The figures obtained cover the period up till May 14 from eight representative centres, and it was found that over 69 per cent more licences have been taken out in the first fortnight than was the case last year.
