NAZI GERMANY’S DEMAND FOR COLONIES

PROPAGANDA LEADER’S THREAT “MUST HAVE PLACE IN SUN” By Telegraph—Press Association. Copyright. BERLIN, May 18. Captain Wenig, propaganda leader of the German Colonial League, in a speech at Munich, declared that the obsorption of Austria made Germany’s colonial claims more urgent than before He emphasised that Herr Hitler had recently warned the world that Germany's ijghtful demands could not be ignored, and it was not his way to keep on demanding a thing for long. “Unfoiinnately our colonies do not lie at our borders,” he said, “otherwise foreign statesmen might wake up one fine morning to find that we had already marched into them. * “Germany wants and must have her place in the sun. We demand the return of our colonies—all of them. They are ours and we mean to have them.”
