SWEDISH COOKIES

Cream 1 pound butter carefully until soft and smooth. Add 2 cup sugar gradually. Add 1 egg yolk and < ■ 2 cups flour. The mixture should be quite stiff. Squeeze through a cookie machine on greased baking sheets—S and O. This requires a little skill and practice, but if carefully done will give you delicious cookies to eat and lovely to look at. Bake at 350 deg. F. until light brown 10 to 15 minutes. Will make five dozen cookies. The baking is important. This is the recipe used by the best Swedish cooks.
