HEALTH CAMP CONCERT

A concert will be given in the Opera House on Thursday next in aid of the Otaki Children’s Health Camp and the Te Ore Ore Dental Clinic. In addition to the Hamua Glee Party, who will give a number of interesting Maori items, a new performer will make his bow to a Masterton audience in the person of Mr Arthur Kay, who will render- a number of Hill Billy songs. Mr Sid Gerand, with his clever trick dog “Teddy” should make one of the hits of the evening, especially with dog lovers. Masterton’s old favourite, Mr Harry Hall will appear in humorous character songs, presenting “My Heart’s Good, But My Feet Wont Let Me,” “They Wont Know Oi Coom From Coontry,” “I Don..t Want to Cause Any Trouble,” and “Walk Around Eliza.” Another humorous item will be supplied by Mr Vin Wilton and his doll in a ventriloquial act. Mrs E. Oliver, always a popular performer, will also appear in new songs. The varied programme will also include a doll dance by Miss Nola Graham, and a tap dance by Miss Velma Price. The concert is for a worthy object and the admission charge is reasonable.
