MASTERTON IDENTITY

MR. J. F. WARD 87 TOMORROW. Mr J. F. Ward, of 20 Wrigley Street, who has been a resident of Masterton since 1874, will celebrate his eightyseventh birthday tomorrow. Until comparatively recently Mr Ward has been quite active, but he now finds difficulty in walking. He took up his residence in Masterton immediately after he arrived from England and except for a visit to the Old Country in 1914 has lived here ever since. Together with Mr J. lorns, he claims to be one of the oldest members of the Masonic Order in the district, having joined the craft in Masterton over sixty years ago.

His twin brother, Robert, who is well known as the Windsor Clockie, visited Masterton seven years ago. He still enjoys the best of health.
