GREYTOWN
BREAK IN STOP BANK. (“Times-Age” Special.) Owing to the Waiohine River being in high flood, a fairly big break occurred in the stop bank at Ahikouka, A large team of men has been working long hours in an endeavour to repair the break. PERSONAL. Mr T. Orr, the well-known rifle shot, who has been away from the Wairarapa for some years, has again taken up his residence at Ahikouka. THICK FOG. The whole of Greytown was enveloped in an exceptionally thick fog this morning. Motorists had to slow down and put the car lights on. FACTORY SUPPLIES. The Greytown dairy factory has commenced receiving milk every other day and has discontinued making cheese.
