WRIGHT STEPHENSON &’CO. LTD. Messrs Wright, Stephenson & Co., Ltd. report—A good yarding of sheep, cattle and pigs came forward at our Carterton yards yesterday and was offered to a large attendance. All classes of stock sold exceptionally well, and we report a total clearance under the hammer at the following prices:— Sheep:—B.f. lambs, 15s, 15s 6d, 16s 2d to 17s 9d; small do. 11s 2d to 12s 3d; fat do. 20s 9d to 22s 8d; fat ewes, 18s 9d, 25s Id to 25s 6d; wr. lambs, to 15s Id; small do., to Us; fat wrs., 25s to 265; b.f. two-tooth, to 255; store ewes, to 16s 8d; cull ewes, to 14s. Cattle:- —Heifers, just calved, £6, £7, to £9 ss; spg. Jersey cows. £5 10s to £5 15s; heifers, r.w.b., £3 5s to £4 4s; heifers, calves, 27s to £2; fat heifers, £4 15s, £6 12s 6d to £7 7s 6d; fat hfd. cows, to £6 3s; fwd. cows, £4 to £4 7s 6d; store cows, £2 10s to £3 10s; cull cows, 35s to £2; vealers, 265, 34s to £2 17s; cows and calves, £5 to £6 7s; bulls, £4 ss, £5 10s to £6 15s. Pigs: Weaners (good), 9s 6d to 10s 6d; (med.), 7s to 8s 6d; (small), 5s 6d to 6s 6d; slips, 13s 6d to 15s; store pigs, 17s 6d to 19s; light porkers. 25s 6d to 30s; porkers, 33s to 38s; baconers, to £3; sows to farrow, £3, £3 15s to £4 Ss;P.B. Can. Birk, sows, lijgns to 31gns; P.B. Can. Birk Boars, 4gns to 43gns; choppers, to £3 ss.
