VISIT OF INDIAN TEAM. The visit of the Indian team to New Zealand is the outstanding sporting event of the season as well as bringing to this country a prominent personage who is captain, His Highness the Nawab Sahub of Manavadar. The Prince is a hockey player of no mean ability. The team will arrive in Wellington on June 8 and will open the tour against Wairarapa in Masterton on Saturday, June 11. The Indian team play a very scientific game, showing speed, anticipation and superb handling with the stick and ball control. Memorial Park has been engaged for the fixture in Masterton through the generosity of the Rugby Union, which has decided not to play senior football games in Masterton on that day.
