WOOL IN LONDON
A BROADENING DEMAND (Recd This Day, 11.15 a.m.) LONDON, May 11. At the wool sales, 9427 bales were offered, including 3979 New Zealand, and 8192 were sold. A good selection met with a broadening demand, especially for Australian merinos at firmer rates. New Zealand scoured halfbred, Taruarau, brought 14|d and 17Jd. Withdrawals were frequent among ‘•he inferior wools.
