ANTI-EPIDEMIC WORK IN CHINA REPORT TO THE LEAGUE OF NATIONS. GOVERNMENTS ASKED TO HELP. (Recd This Day, 11.15 a.m.) GENEVA, May 11. New Zealand’s High Commissioner, Mr W. J. Jordan, presented the report of the Health Committee, drawing attention to the League’s work in connection with the anti-epidemic campaign in China. It pointed out the importance of the matter for the Powers having Far Eastern interests and announced that the Netherlands and the Dutch East Indies Governments had opened a credit and that a bill was before the French Chamber of Deputies to help the work. It was hoped that other governments would act similarly, as resources were limited. Dr. Wellington Koo, in thanking the League, said anti-epidemic mobile units were carrying on their work under dangerous conditions, owing to Japanese air raids.
