VOTING TODAY
LOCAL BODY ELECTIONS. HEAVY POLL LIKELY. Voting at the Masterton Municipal Hall this morning in the local body elections was maintained at a brisk rate throughout the morning and the indications are that the poll will be a heavy one. It is stated that not for many elections past has there been such a steady stream of voters during the morning. It is expected that the result of the Mayoral contest will be announced at about 8.30 o’clock, that for the borough council about an hour later, the Power Board about 10 o’clock and the Harbour Board poll somewhere about 11 p.m.
