Wedding in Melbourne. A wedding of New Zealand interest was celebrated at St Matthew’s Church at Prahran, a Melbourne Press Association cablegram reports, when Miss Frances McGarry, formerly of Hamilton, New Zealand, married Mr Ralph Knowles, formerly of Christchurch. The bride wore a veil edged with silver lace lent by New Zealand friends and a robe of pearl-tinted satin. Mrs Wolf, of Melbourne, sister of the bride, was matron of honour. Miss Violet Devicich, of Hamilton, a girlhood friend of the bride, was bridesmaid. The bride’s mother and the parents of the bridegroom travelled from New Zealand for the ceremony, accompanied by Mrs P. W. Wilkes, of Christchurch. The wedding cake was brought from New Zealand by Mrs Knowles.
