WEDDING

WOODD—ROLLO. The marriage took place at St. Matthew's Church, Masterton. on Thursday last of Unity Anne, eldest daughter of Mr T. R. Rollo, of Masterton, and Alexander Lawrence, eldest son of Mr and Mrs W. K. Woodd, of Whakaronga, Palmerston North. The church was tastefully decorated by friends of the bride. The Rev. E. J. Rich officiated, with Mi' Miller Hope presiding at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a graceful gown of magnolia satin, cut on princess lines and falling into a train. The beautifully embroidered veil was held in place by a cluster of flowers. She carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums with touches of pink. The bridesmaids, Miss Mary Rollo (sister of the bride) and Eileen Woodd (sister of the bridegroom) wore net redingotes over pink taffeta. They had circles of flowers in their hair and carried bouquets to tone. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr Basil Woodd, as best man, and Mr Ronald Crocker as groomsman. Mr K. Woodd and Mr R. Rollo acted as ushers.

The reception was held in the Orange Hall,, where the guests were received by Mr Rollo and his sister, Mrs V. Nicholas, of Temuka, assisted by Mr and Mrs Woodd. Mrs Nicholas was Locked in bottlegreen crepe with a shoulder spray of autumn shades, while Mrs Woodd’s ensemble was of autumn shades with shoulder spray to tone. • Mr and Mrs A. Woodd left later for the north, the bride wearing a r.-avy coat and hat with accessories to tone. Their future home will be in Palmerston North. , -
