INTOXICATED DRIVER
HORSE TRAINER FINED .... IN HAWERA. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) HAWERA, This Day. . Richard Stanley Bagby, horse trainer, Auckland, pleaded guilty and was fined £25 by Justices, when he was charged with being intoxicated while in charge of a car in Hawera. His licence was cancelled for a year. Bagby was arrested at midnight on Thursday, but was remanded on Friday until this morning on £25 bail, the suppression of his name being granted meantime. Bagby was seen driving a car from side to side of the Glover Road. The police gave chase, Bagby doing forty to fifty miles an hour. He was stopped at the Railway Station, where he was. arrested.
