“TOPPER.” The sensational comedy “Topper” will be shown again at the Regent this evening. Constance Bennett was ' lured back to Hollywood while on her vacation in New York by the role of “Marion Kerby,” the wife of the irresponsible “George Kerby.” She is credited with the finest performance in her entire career, portraying whimsical, sophisticated comedy with subtlety. Cary Grant, the most-sought-after leading. man in motion pictures, was .considered the ideal star to play “George Kerby.” Roland Young perfectly fits the requirements of “Cosmo Topper,” the president of a Wall Street bank, whose dignified wife moulded and repressed his life. An outstanding array of shorts will also be shown, including “We Drivers,” a motoring specialty, a coloured cartoon as well as the latest issue of “The March of Time.” Plans are at Perry’s, ’phone 2496. Opening with a matinee at 2.15 on Wednesday comes a magnificent dramatic film—Samuel Goldwyn’s “Dead End,” a vivid, living screen play.
