MASTERTON CLUB GAMES. STABLEFORD COMPETITION. A Stableford competition was played on the Lansdowne golf links on Saturday by members of the Masterton Golf Club. The A grade competition was won by R. Plummer and a new member, J. E. Falloon, Bideford, who showed great promise, won the B grade match. Results were: — A grade: R. Plummer, 36 points; L. Connolly, 33; A. R. Todd, 32; H. L. Esau, 32; C. Torr, 31; H. P. Hugo, 30. B grade: J. E. Falloon, 37; A. Gilbert, 36; N. H. Prior, 35; F. N. Cunningham, 32; L. T. Daniell, 31. MAHUNGA CLUB. CAPTAIN’S TROPHY SCORES. The following were the best net scores returned for the first qualifying round of the Captain’s Trophy:— I. McFarlane 64, A. E. Friend 66, W. Johansen 70, E. J. Reid 72, C. Sutherland 74, A. O.
