YOUNG FARMERS’ CLUB (“Times-Age” Special). Mr R. Lawrence presided over the nonthly meeting of the Young Farmers’ Club. Messrs N. Lamont (district secreary) and S. Freeman (Dominion Se:retary of the Young Farmers’ Clubs) ittended the meeting. Mr Lamont gave i very interesting lecture on seed jermination and certification research vork, showing a number of lantern elides. At the conclusion of his adIress Mr Lamont answered a number >f questions dealing with cropping lifficulties. Other routine business was translated. TABLE TENNIS. The following were the results of he semi-finals and finals of the table ennis competition:—Miss P. Drysdale md H. Freeman (scr.) beat Mr and drs G. Brown, 21/17, 21/18; Miss I. Spring and E. B. Terry (2) beat Miss r. Goss and D. Payne (4), 21/17, 18/21, 11/19; Miss Drysdale and Freeman jeat Miss Spring and Terry, 21/18, 11/16. Arrangements are being made to slay a match against the Mauriceville Nub. ENGINEER RESIGNS. Mr W. Dufflll has resigned his posiion as assistant engineer to the Ekeahuna County Council. RETURNED SOLDIERS. At the annual meeting of the Ekeahuna Returned Soldiers’ Association he following officers were elected for he ensuing year:—President, Col. A. i. Herbert; vice-president, Mr Murray dorriss; treasurer, Mr W. Hornblow; ixecutive committee, Messrs A. G. Solder, H. G. Brookes, J. Renment, E. I. Norton, T. R. Hancock, L. Russell, Y. Chambers, C. Dillon, McLaughlan, 1. Fox, S. Daniel, Watson, Pryde; aulitor, Mr G. T. Allen. It was reported that the association lad a credit balance of £l2O, and that he membership had increased by a übstantial number during the year.
