The April averages of cows tested by the Wairarapa Herd Testing Association are as follow:- —• Greytown, No. 1 Group: Cows under test, 912; monthly group average, 4771 b milk, 23.71 b fat; highest herd average, 38 cows, 351 b fat; highest cow, 771 b fat. Greytown, No. 2 Group: Cows under test, 1125; monthly group average, 4781 b milk, 23.11 b fat; highest herd average, 57 cows, 321 b fat; highest cow, 501 b fat.
Gladstone Group: Cows under test, 1306; monthly group average, 4511 b milk, 26.31 b fat; highest herd average, 64 cows, 361 b fat; highest cow, 741 b fat.
Featherston Group: Cows under test, 2086; monthly group average, 4111 b milk, 20.051 b fat; highest herd average, 118 cows, 281 b fat; highest cow, 571 b fat.
Martinborough Group: Cows under test, 930; monthly group average, 4061 b milk, 20.11 b fat; highest herd average, 78 cows, 251 b fat; highest cow, 581 b fat.
Pahautea Group: Cows under test, 677; monthly group average, 3061 b milk, 17.71 b fat; highest herd average, 26 cows, 271 b fat; highest cow, 531 b fat.
Association summary (figures for April of the previous year shown in parentheses): Cows under test, 7096 (7197); monthly association average, 4271 b milk (4761 b milk), 22.021 b fat (24.061 b fat); highest herd average, 64 cows, 361 b fat (25 cows, 421 b fat); highest cow 771 b fat (861 b fat).
