NOT DELIBERATE
ATTACKS ON BRITISH SHIPS IN SPANISH WATERS. GOVERNMENT VIEW STATED. LONDON, May 4. Replying to questions about damage to British ships by aircraft in Spanish waters, Mr R. A. Butler (Foreign Under-Secretary) said the Government had not considered, on the evidence, that the attacks were made deliberately, and therefore no special action was necessary.
