MAURICEVILLE WEST
TABLE TENNIS CLUB. (“Times-Age” Special.) The annual meeting of the Mauriceville West Table Tennis Club was held on Monday evening when there was a large attendance of members who considered that the prospects for the coming year were very bright. It was decided that Tuesday night be the club night, the season to open on May 17. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Chairman, Mr G. Fredricksen; secretary, Mr N. Williams; club captain, Mr G. Gregory; committee, Misses J. Nielsen, R. Mortensen and J. Larsen and Messrs I. Newman and C. Nielsen. PIG CLUB. There was a fair attendance of members at the annual meeting of the local Pig Club which was held recently in the Mauriceville West Hall. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr J. Williams; hon. secretary, Mr M. Myers; custodian, Mr H. Mortensen; delegate to Pig Council, Mr J. Williams. PERSONAL. Mrs G. Mcßae will leave on Saturday to spend the school vacation in Christchurch. Mr K. Palmer, of the staff of Mauriceville Dairy Company, will leave on Saturday to take a three months’ course at Massey College.
