AWARDS AT THE AUCKLAND WINTER SHOW
DALEFIELD TAKES CHEESE CHAMPIONSHIP.
MASTERTON SECOND FOR BUTTER.

An increase of 40 per cent in butter entries and a decrease of 22 per cent in cheese entries is reported at the Auckland Winter Show compared with last year. Judging results are: —
Butter: New Zealand Championship, box salted for export: Cambridge Dairy Company, Hautapu, 1; Masterton Company, 2; United Company, Woodville, 3; Mangarei Company, New Plymouth, very high commended. Points prize: United Company, 378.3, 1; Levin Company, 375.8, 4. Cheese: New Zealand Championship, case of Cheddar for export: — Dalefield Company, Carterton, 1; Maharahara Company, Dannevirke, 2; Pahiatua Company, Mangamutu, 3; Stratford Company, 4. i Points prize: Dalefield Company, 374.3, 1; Pahiatua, 374.1, 2; Stratford, 373, 3. The Scott and Woods Memorial Shield, for most points in cheese for novice managers, was awarded to Maharahara, 559 points.
