WEDDING

LE GROVE—DURRAD. (“Times-Age” Special.) A pretty wedding of interest, to Wairarapa residents took place at St Barnaba’s Church, Khandallah, yesterday afternoon, when Mary Margaret, eldest daughter of the Rev and Mrs W. J. Durrad, was married to Harold James Tasman, only son of Mrs E. J. Guthrie and the late Mr H. E. Le Grove. Archdeacon Bullock officiated.

The bride, who was escorted by her father, looked charming in a frock of oyster satin, the beautiful veil of which was lent by her cousin, Mrs Tyrer, being of tulle and lace, with a coronet of orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of pastel shade chrysanthemums and iris.

The bride was attended by her three sisters, Misses Ruth, Jessica and Faith Durrad and Marjorie Bloxam who wore period frocks of hydrangea waffle taffeta and carried pink shaded posies. Mr G. P. Kennedy was best man and the ushers were Messrs C. J. and J. W. Kennedy. The church was beautifully decorated by Mrs Algar Williams. Mrs Raper was organist. A reception was held at the Vicarage. Mrs Durrad, in a floral frock and blue coat with blue peach bloom hat, received the guests. She was assisted by Mrs Guthrie, who wore a navy ensemble with navy hat and brown fur.

Mr and Mrs Le Grove left by car for the North, the latter wearing a brown Angora frock and brown hat with eye veil, and fur coat, a present from the bridegroom. Their future home will be in Auckland.
