THE BOROUGH ROLL. (“Times-Age” Special.) There are 650 names on the Greytown Borough Roll. W.D.F.U. MEMBERSHIP. The local branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union is making excellent progress and now has a membership of over 100. At the annual meeting the following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mrs R. Beu; secretary, Mrs W. Wiggins; treasurer, Mrs E. Graham; vice-presidents, Miss Eager, Mesdames H. J. Tilyard, A. Svensen and W. J. Knell; committee, Mesdames A. Johnson, Hutchings, H. D. Bayliss, H. E. Webster, Roy Ingley, Denny, O. Skeet, and Eager; tea convenor, Mrs F. J. Brooks; sick visitor, Miss Udy; delegates to Dominion Conference, Mrs ■ R. Bell and Miss Eager; delegates to Provincial Executive, Mesdames Bell, Wiggins and Graham; exchange table, Mrs H. T. Tilyard; advisory members, Mesdames Beu and Wiggins; hon. auditor, Mr J. Kiernan. YOUNG FARMERS’ DEBATE. The members of the Greytown and Carterton Young Farmers’ Clubs will hold a debate shortly on the subject: “That the Young farmer of today had better opportunities than did his grandfather.” PAST GRAND ODD FELLOWS. P.G. Bro R. Baikie, of Masterton, presided at the quarterly meeting of Loyal Wairarapa Past Grand Lodge of Odd Fellows on Thursday night when the following nominations were received:—President, P.G. Bro. G. S. Bruce; vice-presidents, P.G’s. Bros. W. A. Palmer and Rathbone; warden, P.G’s. Rathbone and W. A. Palmer (Masterton); auditor, P.G’s. Bros. L. H. Smart and A. P. Smith; ritual examiners, P.G’s. Bros. G. S. Bruce, R. Baikie, P. D. Guis, Bros. J. H. Langley and C. J. DeLacey. Bro. Baikie was congratulated on his election to the Managament Committee for the Wellington District.
