PLANE CRASH
■ NEW ZEALANDER’S INJURIES PROVE FATAL. (Recd This Day, 11.40 a.m.) LONDON, April 29. The death has occurred of Mr Colin Byers. Messrs Byers and E. Ratcliffe, two New Zealanders, were admitted to hospital on April 26 following an aeroplane crash in Surrey. A dozen policemen had to lift the plane to extricate the occupants. Mr Byers, who received facial injuries, was trapped in the cabin. Mr Ratcliffe received a broken thigh.
