CANADA’S PLEDGE
NO REDUCTION IN BOND INTEREST. STATEMENT BY FINANCE MINISTER. (Recd This Day, 12.20 p.m.) OTTAWA, April 29. In the House of Commons, the Minister of Finance, the Hon Charles Dunning, declared that Canada would never break her pledged word by reducing bond interest. An Opposition proposal of a compulsory cut in Canadian National Railways debenture interest was rejected.
