RIFLE SHOOTING
ALFREDTON WINS TRIANGULAR CONTEST FINAL MATCH YESTERDAY (“Times-Age” Special) The final of the triangular rifle shooting matches was held yesterday on the Alfredton range, between teams representing Tararua, Alfredton and Kaiparoro clubs. The conditions were showery. Although Alfredton were three points behind, Tararua and Kaiparoro in the first two matches, Alfredton won yesterday by eight points from Tararua. H. C. Rasmussen of the Tararua Club, won the Kebbell Cup for the highest individual score in the three matches with 299. A. C. Edmonds, of Alfredton, was second with 297. Rasmussen owed his success to his fine performance of 103 yesterday. The Bush Cup for the winners of the contest went to Alfredton. The scores were, the conditions being seven shots at each range.
