WEDDINGS

CORLET-MILNER (“Times-Age” Special) The marriage took place yesterday at Wellington of Miss Eileen Milner, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Milner, of Mauriceville, to Mr George Corlet, son of Mr and Mrs G. V. Corlet, of Carterton. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Ngaire Milner, as bridesmaid, and Mr Herbert Milner (a brother), was best man. The ceremony was performed by. the Rev Father Heavey of St Mary’s Church, Carterton. A reception was afterwards held at the Royal Oak Hotel, only immediate relatives being entertained. Mr and Mrs Geo. Corlet, jnr., afterwards left on a tour of the North Island. On their return they will take up their residence at Masterton. EDGAR—THORNTON. The marriage took place at St. Mary’s Church, Karori, on April 14, of Mr Cyril Edgar, son of the late Rev. R. M. Edgar, of Dublin, and Miss Esther Thornton, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs John Thornton, of "Bryndyr,” Christchurch.
