WAIRARAPA CLUB’S MEETING. RESULTS OF SATURDAY’S EVENTS. Another successful meeting was held on Saturday by the Wairarapa Coursing Club, two events being decided, the Grimwood Challenge Cup for maiden dogs and the Open Stakes for the Bradbury Trophy. Mr J. Prout, of Napier, won the former event with White Gold, Mr J. Crawford, Carterton, being runner-up with Jeanne. The Open Stakes went to Mr W. James, Masterton, with Dainty Footsteps, which defeated Mr L. James’s The Slam. Details are:— GRIMWOOD CHALLENGE CUP. (Maiden) First round: J. Crawford’s (Carterton) Jeanne beat J. Semi-final: Jeanne beat British Pride, 54/0; White Gold beat Silver Note, 5/0.
