WAIRARAPA CLUB’S MEETING. RESULTS OF SATURDAY’S EVENTS. Another successful meeting was held on Saturday by the Wairarapa Coursing Club, two events being decided, the Grimwood Challenge Cup for maiden dogs and the Open Stakes for the Bradbury Trophy. Mr J. Prout, of Napier, won the former event with White Gold, Mr J. Crawford, Carterton, being runner-up with Jeanne. The Open Stakes went to Mr W. James, Masterton, with Dainty Footsteps, which defeated Mr L. James’s The Slam. Details are:— GRIMWOOD CHALLENGE CUP. (Maiden) First round: J. Crawford’s (Carterton) Jeanne beat J. McGrath’s Ace Pot, 2J/2; J. Taylor’s (Eketahuna) Baker Boy beat A. E. Lund’s (Gisborne) Golden Ranch, 2£/0; G. Mosen’s (Masterton) British Bride beat A Nicol’s (Napier) Scotland’s Pride, 2170; L. V. Langvod’s (Hastings) Lady Boston beat W. L. Jensen’s (Carterton) Helen Rufus, 2/1; J. Taylor’s (Eketahuna) Flying Veil beat McCord and Southey’s Gay Terms, 2J/1 J; J. Prout’s (Napier) White Gold beat J. Ryan’s (Masterton) Bonnie Lass, 5/1; J. McGrath’s Ace of Diamonds beat A. Kinnimonts (Hastings) Lucky Linda, ,5/0; J. Hannan’s (Wanganui) Silver Note beat A.
