Sams, New South Wales, for a striped marlin weighing 3301 b. Australian record for the heaviest shark (trophy valued at £200): T. A. Bell, Melbourne, tiger shark weighing 1151 b. Heaviest striped marlin (trophy, £100): C. Stewart, Sydney, 3141 b.
