Better Pastures and Sheep.

The first 12 months of a sheep's life is its most critical period of existence, for during that time the animal builds the framework on which depends its wool and mutton-producing powers. A strong, virile constitution nourished from good pastures, enables the sheep to resist disease and produce a good class of wool free from break and other detrimental features. Improved pastures help sheep to produce better-class wool and lessen the clanger of isease. Lambs from ewes in good condition on improved pasture at lambing time are strong and do not suffer any check in growth. Good succulent feed will always ensure a bigger percentage of lambs than dry, scanty pasture.
